In the News: Was LeAnn Rimes High During Her X-Factor Performance?

Last Wednesday, LeeAnn Rimes performed her hit, How Do I Live, with 13 year old X-Factor contestant Carly Rose Sonenclar. The feedback was not good. Many are criticizing Rimes and claiming that she looked like she wasn’t very sober as she struggled to sing her own song.

The truthSober or not – she did struggle on a song that she’s probably sung well over 500 times since she released it in 1997. That really can’t be denied. Think otherwise? Well check out her performance below and tell us what you think afterwards. Especially considering what she’s capable of doing – like this performance of How Do I Live back in 2004.

The speculation – LeAnn has definitely been in the news a lot the past year and not for anything related to her music. There have been many rumors that she’s been abusing diet pills and has an eating disorder. It’s truly unfortuante for someone to be chastized in the tabloids the way she has over something that she may be struggling with. The rumors could very well be the result of a messy divorce (involving LeAnn) her husband, Eddie Cipriani, had with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville.

LeAnn says any rumors of her not being sober are false and that she was just trying to “help this 13-year-old girl who was having some trouble with the song.”
