The right time to go to addiction treatment is right now. Not a week from now, not a day from now, RIGHT NOW. Now this may sound extreme but it is true and it is fact. Some people make a decision to go to addiction treatment and dont make it there the next day because of their drug use and alcohol consumption, they may even die before they get a chance to go to addiction treatment.

So the right time to go to addiction treatment is as soon as you find out where you are going. The disease of alcoholism and addiction is cunning, baffling, and powerful. The disease doesn’t care how long you wait, it doesnt know the difference but you do.  If you are suffering or someone you know is suffering from the disease of alcoholism or addiction please dont hesitate when it comes to your or your loved one’s addiction treatment. It is absolutely essential to go treatment ASAP.

As addicts and alcoholics, the want to feel better and get off drugs and alcohol is sometimes fleeting. They may be ready for treatment right now, but wait until tomorrow and they might not feel that way anymore. Alcoholics and addicts are about instant gratification so if the drugs and alcohol aren’t working anymore they immediately want another solution and that is the right time to go to addiction treatment. If there is a waiting period during that time they may decide that going to addiction treatment is not a quick enough solution and the negative effects of their using seem worth it, or are almost forgotten completely. There is no right time to go to addiction treatment other than when you are ready to go.
